Bogging at highway speeds

Ripping down the highway for about 10 minutes, my bike suddenly starts bogging like it's running on fumes, even though the tank ain't even close to empty, flipping to reserve helps after a few, and it runs fine again, it only happens at high speeds. But I just swapped in new plugs and MCCTs, now there's a slight engine whine I am thinking maybe fuel flow or I overtightened the tensioners?

Flipping to reserve helps but that's just a temporary. Have you tried checking if there's clogged vent line? hope you get it sorted soon

@steveslavachicken The vent line check you did right there is a good call. I think a partial blockage can explain both the bogging and why the reserve gives it a temporary fix.

If the whining started after you installed the mccts, then you probably overdid it. As for the highway bogging down, I'm assuming some kind of fuel restriction at those speeds. Does it run okay around town?

I’d lean fuel related first, especially since flipping to reserve brings it back at speed. Check the tank vent and petcock flow, and if that whine showed up right after the MCCT install, it’s worth backing them off a hair since over-tightening can definitely cause some odd noises.
